Zizzo inks German deal

Sal Zizzo who recently came off an impressive display for the US at the U20 WC has just signed a contract with German Bundesliga side, Hannover 96. The fomer UCLA winger will be joining with his new squad next week.

Hannover already employs 1 other American player- Steve Cherundolo. Interestingly, both Cherundolo and Zizzo are from San Diego, CA are both Italian-Americans, and now will both be playing for the same club. In fact, Cherundolo was very influential in persuading Zizzo and his family to sign for the Reds.

Zizzo is the first of his US U20 team to sign a European contract following the WC. Adu is expected to sign soon hopefully as well. Rumors are also flying around about Danny Szetela.
