My word that was an ugly half of football. Both sides are playing very poorly, and for some reason it has made me rather upset, so expect a rather harsh assesment of a few players. First, Valentin you suck...why Rongen has him in there over Sarkodie is beyond me. Sarkodie was brilliant against Brazil and fully deserved to start tonight. Sturgis has been solid in the back, but why the heck is every ball you play a long one? Yes, a few have opened up the Uruguay defense, but is there a reason every single ball you play bypasses the midfield? And will someone please find Adu with the ball. Every time he touches it something dangerous occurs. While he's yet to truly breakthrough the Uruguayan defense, he is clearly the most dangerous player so why on earth are we neglecting him? And please get Rogers off the field. Yes, he's drawn a few fouls, but he has given away just as many. Which brings me to another point, stop fouling!!!! We're lucky to have not been scored on yet with the number of fouls we have given away near our box.
Perk has done well deputizing for the injured Seitz, although he hasn't really been tested yet. It's unfortunate for Seitz as he has been brilliant so far, but hopefully Perk can put in a solid performance for us. Ok, not sure why I'm so pessimistic and overly critical at the moment, but lets hope for a better second half because the first was dreadful.
