Preview- RoPS vs JJK

Today's match against JJK is definitely one of the bigger matches of the season. JJK is currently 3 points above us in second place, 1 point behind leaders KuPS. Their only loss thus far came at the hands of Helsinki side, PK-35. JJK also have a potent strike force with Tomi Kari and Babatunde Wusu scoring 17 of their side's 20 goals this season. In fact, last week Wusu scored 4 second half goals in a 5-1 demolition of PP-70.

We are heading into the match with a stretch of good form with 3 wins in our last 3 games. We have also trailed in each of these 3 games before storming back for victories. Our strikers are also on a scoring tear. Nchmunya Mweetwa, 'Drogba', has scored 1 goal in each of the last 4 games, and RoPS legend, Zeddy Sailetti, now has 5 goals on the year.

So it would be wise to expect a very offensive game. JJK, however, may still be tired from their extra time victory over Veikkausliiga side MyPa in the Finnish Cup. Add to that a long bus ride to Rovaniemi, and it might be cause for some tired and weary legs. Regardless, we are definitely up for the game. There's no fear in the side at all, and their shouldn't be. We probalby have the most talented team in the Ykkonen, and in the end its just a game of football, and as we saw last night in the US vs Austria U20 WC quarter-final- anything can happen in football.

I believe I will be starting from the bench, which will again be a disappointment for me. But I will be ready to play when called on, and hopefully I can make an impact like I did in the last game. Hopefully, we'll also have a really good turnout. It should be a really entertaining game, and it would be awesome to have a full stadium. Either way, our fans are great and I know they will be their usual, loud selves!!

Congratulations for an important and hard-fought win yesterday! They are entertaining games you guys are offering at the moment..You are not really making it easy for yourselves and the audience. Everytime conceding one before starting to fight back; )

Anyway, couldn't have been a better start for the long run of home games coming up.
